Our people make Hutchison Technologies a great place to work and we’re pleased to shine the spotlight on another member of our talented team. In our latest Meet the Team feature, we meet Technical Sales Engineer Giles Robinson. We asked Giles to tell us a little about his role and what he enjoys most about working at Hutchison Technologies.

Giles said, “I’m a Technical Sales Engineer working in our Sales team. When I saw the role advertised, I thought it would be a good opportunity to merge my previous sales experience and practical installation engineer skills. I’ve actually worked for Hutchison Technologies previously and left with positive memories; so, I was pleased when a suitable role became available and I could return.”

Giles enjoys having the opportunity to work on projects from conception to completion. He said, “It’s amazing how much effort, skill, and passion is gathered from across the whole team, to ensure projects are delivered for our customers. Each project is different and can often bring its own challenges – but no matter what, we always deliver. I think this is something Hutchison does really well and that we are all proud of.”

In the immediate short-term, Giles is focused on delivering a series of projects for one of Hutchison Technologies' key accounts. He said, “This means I get to work closely with Andy Walker, who is a great mentor and wealth of information.”

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Giles spending time with his family. He said, “I have minimal free time after entertaining my three kids. I also spend time teaching youngsters in a local brass band. On the sporting front, I enjoy working on bicycles and cars. I’ve recently, rather hastily, signed up for a triathlon – I should probably start training for that!”
